We all know My Octopus Teacher, the award winning film shot in and around some of our favorite dives sites.

Sea Change Project’s mission is Storytelling for Ocean Protection.

Their projects connect people from all over the world to the Great African Seaforest and the fascinating creatures that live within it. Their work includes films, books, exhibitions, marine biology research through living science and impact campaigns.

They are currently developing a new photographic and digital exhibition for outdoor display in Cape Town in March 2022 as part of the Wavescape festival. The theme of the exhibition is titled Seas of Good Hope. It aims to explore the biodiversity of the Great African Seaforest, its challenges and wonders, and the shared link between culture and nature.

They hope to imbue this story with the message of ubuntu — the idea that I am, because you are, because the environment is.
