How long have you been scuba diving?

I qualified with my open water in 2020 and absolutely fell head over heels! I have since completed my Advanced and Rescue qualifications and I’m fast approaching dive number 100!

What is your current scuba qualification?

 RAID Master Rescue

What sparked your interest in underwater photography?

I have always enjoyed photography both in the water and on dry land. It is a fun and creative way to capture memories and hold moments forever. I also particularly enjoyed the challenge of it – one has to think about lighting, surge, buoyancy and all the different factors involved.

What is your current camera set up?

I currently use an Olympus Tough TG6 camera in an Olympus housing with a single sea and sea YSD2 strobe.

What advice would you give to a newbie?

Your first photos are more likely than not to be terrible! I really battled in the beginning and once I discovered the flash it was a game changer! The flash may be a challenge and a little overwhelming but totally worth it and also know your camera in and out so that you can use it to its fullest potential!

What is your favourite subject to photograph?

Nudibranchs!!! So many different species that are abundant at most dive sites.
