Approximately 100m away from the Pietermaritzburg, PMB reef is a long oval shape, running roughly parallel with the PMB. The reef is surrounded by sand, so it is easy to navigate your way around it.

The inside and outside edges have short ‘walls’, leading up to boulder formations throughout the rest of the reef. There are numerous tight swim throughs scattered throughout the reef. Large schools of fish congregate on the reef and often rays are sighted. The rocks are covered with the usual macro life and multiple fans commonly found on False Bay Dive Sites.
